First Win and Reserves Draw
|
First Team won 2-0 away to Lounge, the welsh goalscorers were Dave Burton and Lee Rhodes.
The Reserves draw 3-3 at home to Camden, the welsh goalscorers were Jason Chambers with a
brace and Daryl Apps. The Vets got back to winning ways without manager Clive "Ancelotti"
Dando with a fine win away to Eltham, playing on a very muddy pitch the vets started well
and Andy Jones scored the first goal after a fine run and shot, the second goal was a
wonderful tap-in from three yards by Mick Mancini, there were no more goals in the first
half, so at half time the welsh were winning 2-0. In the second half Eltham scored first
and then had a penalty but the Eltham forward put the ball high over the bar and I think
the ball was found in Redhill. In the last five minutes the welsh scored again with a good
goal by super sub Steve Emery who scored from a impossible angle, so the welsh won 3-1.
