Diary

Mick Austin has started a book for the end of season tour, which will be to Hamburg, We leave on Friday May 30th 2008 and come back on Monday June 2nd 2008.
 
The End Of Season Dinner, will be on Friday 4th July 2008, at Dartford FC, Grassbank, Dartford. The Dinner will start at 7.00pm.

First Win
11 May 2008:
The First Team won 3-0 away to Fleetdown United (Sunday) with Lee Rhodes scoreing a hat-trick. The vets lost 0-3 away to St Joseph's.


First Lose & Res Draw
4 May 2008:
The First Team lose 1-2 in the semi final of the Arnold and May Cup to Bexley Sports Club, the Reserves lose 0-4 at home to Footscray Lions 2nd. The Vets draw 2-2 away to Tudor Sports the vets goalscorers were Joe Murphy and a own goal, plus Tony Day saved a penalty.


First Lose & Res Draw
27 April 2008:
The First Team lose 0-2 in the final of the Betts Cup to Crayside Rangers, the Reserves draw 2-2 at home to Camden the welsh goalscorers were Lee Hergest [pen] and Paul Challis. The Vets lose 2-4 away to Maidstone the vets goalscorers were Micky Mancini and Mark Collier.

20 April 2008:
The First Team won 2-1 away to FC Reynolds aet, with the welsh goalscorers with Sion Owen and Chris O'Connor. The Reserves won both games in a double fixtures, the first game was 1-0 with Sam Bradley the welsh goalscorers, the second game was 2-0 with Sam Bradley and Darren Faulkner the welsh goalscorers. The Vets lost 0-1 away to Metrogas.


First Team Win Today
13 April 2008:
The First Team won 1-0 at home to Footscray Lions 2nd, in the betts cup, the game was level after 90 mins and the winning was scored by Luke Underdown in extra time. The vets lost 2-3 away to Metrogas, the vets goalscorer were Mick Mancini with both goals.

The welsh tavern golf day was won by Micky Hall.


Reserves Win Today
30 March 2008:
The Reserves won 1-0 away to Coldharbour, the welsh goalscorers was Williams Roomes. The vets won 3-2 away to Sanatogen, the vets goalscorers were David Gray, Harry Pap, and Steve Smith, who scored the winning goal.

The Reserves won 1-0 at home to Abbey Wanderers in a good match, played in the snow and rain, the welsh goalscorers was Sam Bradley.

The Vets lost 1-2 away to Wellcome (Beckenham), the vets goalscorers was Lee Hergest from the penalty spot.

The First Team beat FC Reynolds 3-1 at home today, with Steve Northwood breaking down before the kick off so Sion Owen had to play in goal again, Well done again Sion, the welsh goalscorers were Tony Kyle with a brace and Jason Chambers, the miss on the game come from Daryl Apps you put the ball wide of the goal from only two yards. The Reserves won 1-0 away to Camden, the welsh goalscorers was Ryan Pay. The vets lost 0-9 away to Charlton Rangers.

Today is my birthday Ian "Noddy" King and I will be down the Welsh Tavern Public House tonight to have a few beers. "All are Welcome ".


First Win and Res Lose
2 March 2008:
The First team beat Plume of Feathers 3-2 on pens after the teams were level 2-2 after extra time, the welsh lose goalkeeper Adam Harber who was injury in the first half, Sion Owen went in goal for the welsh. In the second half Plume took the lead and the Welsh had to wait until the final minute to draw level with a fine goal my Tony Kyle, Plume took the lead again in extra-time, but the Welsh level again with a goal by Jason Chambers. In the penalty shoot-out Sion Owen was the Welsh hero saving three penalties to help the Welsh win the match. The Reserves lose 1-3 away at Welling Athletic with the welsh goalscorers was Darren Faulkner. The Vets draw 1-1 away to Farnborough OBG with the vets goalscorers Mick Mancini.

The First team beat the Reserves 2-1 in the betts cup, the first team goalscorers were Jason Chambers and Daryl Apps, the reserves goalscorer was Ryan Pay.

The Reserves won there First Away game of the season beating North Heath 7-1 away, Well Done Duncan, it was also the first time have scored a away goal this season.

Chris Jones is now a Dad, his girlfriend Kelly give birth to a baby boy this morning, the baby will be called Lucas, Congratulations and Best Wishes to the both of you.

The first won at home to Riverside 2-0, the goalscorers were Daryl Apps and Lee Rhodes, with Sion Owen keeping another clear sheet in goal for the welsh, watch out Marc Sion will be takeing your place, it could had been more but Tommy Martin miss a penalty which was saved by the Riverside keeper. The vets lose 2-5 away to Peckham Rye.

The first won away to Coldharbour 2-0, the goalscorers were Jack Wilson and Jason Chambers. With Sion Owen keeping a clear sheet in goal for the welsh, well done Sion. The vets lost 0-2 at home to Charlton Rangers, the second goal was a nightmare for Tony Day never mind Tony.

The first draw at home 3-3 to eastgate with the goalscorers with Steve Smith, Tony Kyle and Jason Chambers. The reserves lost 0-3 at Footscray Lions 2nd. The vets draw 1-1 at Charlton Rangers the goalscorers was Scott MacMillian.

The vets lose 2-5 at home to Cudham, the goalscorers for the welsh were JD and Paul Burns.

The first team won 4-1 away to Benchmark Arrows the goalscorers were Daryl Apps 3, and Lee Rhodes. The reserves lost 1-4 at home to Footscray Lions 2nd, the welsh goalscorer was Sam May from the penalty spot. The vets won 5-2 at home to Maidstone with the goalscorers were Dave Smith 2, Andy Flewin 2, and Gary Spelling.

9 December 2007:
The vets lose 0-1 to Tudor Sports, in the only game which was played on sunday, the first team and reserves matches were called off because of the weather.

The First team lose 1-4 to Goldsmith United in the Kent Premier Cup, the Welsh goalscorers was Jack Wilson. The Reserves draw 5-5 to Footscray Lions Reserves aet, 90 mins was 2-2 in the Kent Junior Cup, the vets lose 2-5 to Tudor Sports, the goalscorers were Mick Mancani and Brian Lloyd.

First Team won 5-3 away to Riverside with Daryl Apps you scored a hat-trick, Tony Kyle and Sion Owen were the another goalscorers for the welsh.


First Win And Reserves Lose Today
11 November 2007:
First Team won 2-0 at home to Crayside Rangers with Joe Hedger and Daryl Apps the goalscorers. The res lost 0-5 away to Abbey Wanderers, Abbey scored just after 50 seconds and keep on scoreing, in the second half the welsh had chances, but they just could not score it just was one of those days. The Vets won 5-4 aet at home to Charlton Rangers in the Bexley Hospital Cup, the welsh had come back from been three goals down, the goalscorers for the Vets were Paul Burns 2, [could have been three if he had score the penalty which he miss], Jamie Aitken, Ian White and a own goal.

The welsh golf day was won by Steve Summers which was held at Brentwood, Essex.


First and Reserves Both Win Today
4 November 2007:
First Team won at home to Footscray Lions 4-1 in the Kent Premier Cup, the Reserves who 2-1 away to Centresports Reserves in the Kent Junior Cup, the game when to extra time, with Paul Eldridge scoring the winning goal, the other goalscorers for the Welsh was Darren Faulkner.


Reserves Lose Today
28 October 2007:
First Team had no game on Sunday and the reserves were at home to Coldharbour, the first team to scored was Coldharbour, the welsh scored ten minutes before the break with Darren Chambers scoreing the goal of the match as he curle the ball into the top corner from 25 yards and against the wind, but Coldharbour scored straight from the kick off so at half-time the welsh were losing 1-2, in the second half the welsh had all the play but could not score until ten minutes from the end when Daryl Apps scored with a fine header, but Coldharbour scored away with a break away in the last minute, so the reserves lost 2-3. The Vets lose 2-7 away to Wycombe Park.

21 October 2007:
First Team won 3-1 away to Plume of Feathers with Jason Chambers, Sion Owen and Lee Rhodes the goalscorers, and the Reserves won 7-0 at home to Crayford Arrows with Paul Eldridge (3), Paul Challis (2), Michael Beattie, and Luke Underdown were the goalscorers.


First Win Today
14 October 2007:
First Team won 3-1 away to Bostall Park with Jack Wilson, Jason Chambers and Sion Owen the goalscorers, and the Reserves match with Foresters was abandoned after 60 minutes of the match. The Vets won 5-1 at home to Belvedere with the goalscorers Rob Cherry with a hat trick, plus a brace from Steve "Belly" Smith who had just return for his holiday in the states the day before.


First draw and Res Win Today
7 October 2007:
First Team draw 3-3 away to Footscray Lions, the welsh were winning 3-0 at half time, with two goals from William Roomes with two goals and one from Jack Wilson. The Reserves who 3-2 away to Shorne, the welsh were 0-2 at half time, but scored three goals in the second half to go through to the next round, the goals come from Kevin Webb, Micky Church and Richard Everitt who was the man of the match. The Vets won 5-2 at home to Old Tamponians with the goalscorers Stuart Richards two goals, Rob Cherry two goals and Alan Glazerbrook.

30 September 2007:
First Team won 2-1 at home to Benchmark Arrows. The Res won 4-2 away to Erith Tigers, the res come from a goal with Michael Beattie leveling the match and then Sam May scored with a fine header to put the welsh into the lead. In the second half Dale Lawson scored with a fine lobby over the goalkeeper, then Erith Tigers scored the goal of the match with a fine goal, Darren Faulkner scored the last goal of the match so the game ended 4-2 to the welsh. The vets draw 3-3 away to Bearstead with the goalscorers Rob Cherry, Graham Papi and Steve Summers.


First Win Today And Res Lose
23 September 2007:
First Team won 4-1 away to Barnehurst with two goals by Darren Thomson and one a piece by Jack Wilson and Sion Owen, the win take the welsh to the top of the league table. The Res lose 2-4 at home to Welling Athletic, the res first goal of the season come from Paul Eldridge, the welsh took the lead five minutes before half-time with a fine header by George Huffer from a corner so at half time the score was welsh 2 welling 1, in the second half welling score just after half-time and scored two more goals in the later ten minutes, it could be more it the last minute Dan Houckham save a penalty after he had bought down the welling forward. The vets lose 0-7 at home to the Met Police.

16 September 2007:
First Team won at home to Plume Of Feathers 2-1 with Lee Rhodes scored both of the goals, I miss both of the welsh goals as I was late getting to the game, The welsh managers Steve Smith/ Cliff Carter said the boys were playing better then the week before versus Eastgate and show some passion which was missing the week before and he was happy with the result. The Vets lose 1-2 today away to Old Bromleans with the goalscorer Paul Challis, the welsh had to play the first 20 minutes with Micky Church in goal, until Tony Day turn up.

9 September 2007:
The season started today with the first losing and Eastgate 0-2 and the team show no passion in the game The reserves draw at home to SMP in a evened game and a draw was a fair result. The Vets best Peckhanm Rye 5-4 at home with Stuart Richards scoring four goals, the other goal was scored by Mark Kinsey.
